Welcome Ann of Drakonaria Jewelry to the Etsy Metalclay Team

We have a new member to the Etsy Metalclay team this month. Ann Mozon is the artisan behind Drakonaria - Artistic Jewelry. Ann is a metal clay artist who inspired by the beauty of nature and fine literature. She expands the Etsy Metalclay international resume by coming to us by Cracow, Poland. Ann designs contain delicate, intricate detail. I particularly love Ann's Sindarin jewelry line. Sinadrin is the name of the elves language found in J.R.R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings series. Her Aderthad Pendant listed below means unification in the grey elves' language. Ann has a website that is currently in her native polish but she is in the process of translating it to English. Can't wait to see it Ann. Welcome to the team, I hope you find our little group a friendly and helpful one.

Welcome Rachel's Things to EMC Team and Don't Forget the EMC Team Challenge!

Rachel Miller of Rachel's Things is the newest member of the EMC Team! Rachel received a BFA from Boston University and later graduated from FIT in New York. With her degrees she started her career in fashion design and painting. Rachel's interest in jewelry design started with intricate wire work design. She was a successful wire work artist before she discovered metal clay. Rachel meet Kate McKinnon (who later won the Saul Bell award from Rio) at a local art fair and the rest is history. Rachel spends her days caring for her two daughters and creating her unique pieces that include Judaic stars and mezuzahs. Check out Rachel's blog at www.rachelmiller-artist.blogspot.com.

Everyone give Rachel a warm welcome. Also just a reminder to the my fellow EMC team members the EMC Team Challenge Hinges is due Wednesday November 18Th. All entries must incorporate a hinge in their jewelry design.

Welcome New Members to the Etsy MetalClay Team

We have two new members to the Etsy MetalClay Team. Penelope of Penelope's Passion and Louise of Peculiar Forest.
Penelope of Penelope's Passion has been working with metal clay for about a year and a half. Penelope is a former ceramics teacher who has since become addicted to precious metal clay. Since retiring, Penelope has immersed herself in the metal clay universe taking several classes and going to conferences. She is also a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Clay Guild and has a plethora of goodies for you to view in her shop. Below is one of Penelope's many pieces.

Louise of Peculiarforest is from Northampton, United Kingdom. She is a former polymer clay artist who has switched her focus to metal clay. (I still love her polymer clay pieces) You can follow Louise's creative process on her blog called www.peculiarforest.blogspot.com. I love how Louise is combining her polymer clay and her metal clay pieces.
